Over the weekend, news of Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan testing positive for coronavirus dominated the news. Both the actors had taken to their social media handle to inform everyone of the same and requested everyone who had been in their close proximity in the past 10 days to get tested. Soon after, Abhishek informed everyone that actress and his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and their daughter Aaradhya Bachchan had tested positive as well. While both Amit Ji and Abhishek were admitted to Nanavati Hospital, Ash and Aaradhya were home quarantined.
Recent reports from Nanavati hospital suggests that both Big B and Abhishek have been responding positively to the first line of medications. New reports also suggest that the Bachchan’s may even be able to return home in a week’s time. According to Times Of India, 26 of their staff members who had tested negative in the first round of tests will undergo a second round of tests to determine where the Bachchan’s contracted the virus from. The antibody test will be carried out by BMC to know whether any staff member was a carrier of the virus or was Covid positive in the past. Along with this, all of the Bachchans’ movements from the past few days will also be traced.
Meanwhile, Amitji has been keeping busy in his COVID isolation ward by maintaining his norm of tweeting. He made sure that he wished extended family members for their birthday and took to his social media platforms to thank everyone who was concerned and praying for their speedy recovery.
