The television and film industry is slowly resuming back to work. And now, according to reports, it is learnt that director duo, Abbas-Mustan are in the process of acquiring permission from the managing director of Maharashtra Film, Theatre and Cultural Development Corporation (Film City) to start filming for their Netflix series titled Penthouse. The psychological thriller will star Sharman Joshi in the lead. As per the reports, the actor was supposed to start shooting in the first week of April, however, it got delayed due to the nationwide lockdown.

According to a report by Mid-Day, the source reveals that the makers want to build a huge set of the penthouse at Filmistan in Goregaon, for the first stint. While the orchestration has been planned, they are waiting for Film City’s permission to kickstart the shooting. Apparently, the duo is hoping to begin to shoot by mid-August.

The series will also mark the digital debut of Abbas and Mustan after their last film, Machine which released in 2017.
