Rakul Preet Singh
Rakul Preet Singh

From creating magic on the big screen down South and in Bollywood to being an entrepreneur and a philanthropist, actor Rakul Preet Singh has achieved a lot in a short period of time. The actor made her debut in 2009 with ‘Gilli’, a Kannada film. Also, fun fact: Did you know that she signed up for the film only to earn a little extra pocket money? Rakul made her debut in the Bollywood industry with Divya Khosla Kumar‘s Yaariyaan. And she went on to feature in films like Aiyaary, Shimla Mirchi, De De Pyaar De among others. So when Malini’s Girl Tribe announced the Virtual Happy Hour with Rakul, it got me all excited.

Our boss lady, Malini Agarwal came up with an idea of doing a Virtual Happy Hour for Malini’s Girl Tribe to ward our quarantine blues away. This session with Rakul was all about that, where a few members of the tribe got to spend a lovely evening with her virtually over conversation and fun games. The event kicked off with a fun Q&A where the tribe members got to ask the star their questions.

Rakul spoke about the high and lows in her career and how she coped with failures. When one of the members asked the actor about how she keeps herself motivated and uplifted during her lows, she replied saying, “If you don’t have the lows, you will never appreciate the highs. The biggest problem that we face in the country is that people don’t really come out and talk. They think about what will others think. I have been replaced from films and there are times when you expect a film that you are going to get, but you don’t get it. You have those highs and lows.”

The conversation was followed by a fun ‘How well do you know Rakul?’ quiz and concluded with her uplifting message for the Girl Tribe.
