I remember watching Aankhen in 2002 and the 10-year-old me being mindblown. If I correctly remember, it was one of the first heist dramas I had watched in a theatre and absolutely loved it. Ever since then, whenever the film airs on national television, I make sure I watch it. Recently when I had heard that the sequel to the film was in talks, it, of course, got me excited. Amitabh Bachchan who was a part of the OG is going to be seen in Aankhen 2 and that itself was enough for me. Besides that nothing much about the film is known but don’t worry, I have some exclusive news for you.
As per a source close to the project, if things fall in place, Arjun Kapoor and Aparshakti Khurana will be a part of this heist drama too.

Arjun and Aparshakti have been already brought on board for the film. While there were multiple discussion with both the actors, everything seems to have fallen in place now. While Amitabh is the only actor who has been signed by Eros International, due to the pandemic both the actors are yet to sign on the dotted lines. If everything goes well, the film will go on floors in February 2021.
While the 2002 film was directed by Vipul Shah, Abhinay Deo who directed Delhi Belly will be donning the director’s hat for this one. Well, this news has surely got me super happy and I cannot wait to watch this one!
