Salman Khan during the Bigg Boss 13 launch

Bigg Boss is one of the most popular reality shows in India. Season 13 of the show was so successful that the makers decided to extend it by two more months. Naturally, fans of the show have been wondering whether the show will be going on air this year with the pandemic that’s going on. But makers have been in discussions for quite some time about the 14th season. Earlier this year we got to know that while the season might start off a little later in the year, it is definitely going to happen. Salman Khan is reportedly supposed to starting for the show from September and will be going to shoot from his Bandra home. The Bigg Boss house was reported to be constructed in Film City Mumbai.

Earlier reports suggested that all contestants going to the game show will be tested for Covid-19 and regular temperature checks will be conducted. Now a report in Pinkvilla revealed new rules that the makers will be following. Allegedly contestants won’t be paid on a weekly basis as the previous seasons and eliminations might be on the basis of hygiene and temperature checks of the contestants. This year contestants will be paid by a pre-decided budget due to the financial crunch. The show will feature five popular faces along with lesser-known people. Given the uncertainty involved this time, if the show has to be stalled midway, the production won’t pay for the episodes that didn’t happen. It also turns out that contestants can be eliminated on the basis of their hygiene. Only contestants with good immunity will be taken in the show and if anyone falls sick, that contestant will be disqualified and won’t be paid.

Recent speculations suggested that Sushmita Sen‘s brother Rajeev Sen and Adhyayan Suman were going to be a part of the upcoming season. But both of them took to their social media handles to deny the rumours.
