Vicky Kaushal is one of the most promising talents we’ve found in the past 2 years. While his performances have been amazing movie after movie, one genre that has been missing out from his movie portfolio is that of a comedy. Looks like that’s going to be complete very soon too. Vicky just signed the dotted line for a comedy that is being produced by Yash Raj Films.
The actor will start shooting for the project sometime this year itself. The untitled project is a part of the YRF50- the big celebration that the studio is currently planning to mark their 50 years in the film industry.
Speaking of Vicky, a trade source close to the studio said:
Vicky’s career is on a sharp rise and YRF signing him on for a film only marks his ascendancy as a talent in the industry. Aditya Chopra believes in him and has signed him on for a comedy film! It will present Vicky in an all new avatar and it’s a role to watch out for!
The source further added:
Vicky was narrated the film during the lockdown and he immediately said yes to it because he loved the script. It’s got all the trapping of a very good film and Vicky wants to work in very good films. Vicky has signed the dotted line now and is prepping to start the film soon. We have to wait and watch to see who the director of the film is.
We can’t wait to see Vicky in this comedy. We’re sure he will ace this rile just like all the others he’s done before this.
