Taapsee Pannu and Kangana Ranaut‘s twitter spat has been making the headlines for quite a few days now. It all started with the interview that Kangana gave Republic TV in which she had called out Taapsee and Swara Bhasker for being chaploos (or bootlickers) who refuse to risk their ranks. After watching her interview, director Anurag Kashyap spoke about how Kangana used to be his friend but this new Kangana is a different person.

In a recent interview with NDTV, Anurag opened up about the last time he interacted with Kangana and tried to sort things out between her and Taapsee. According to the filmmaker, trouble had started when in an interview for Manmarziyan Taapsee was asked which product she would suggest for Kangana. Taapsee replied saying a double filter and Anurag had shared a laugh with the actress. In a recent interview, Anurag suggested that he gets that she was hurt by that interview and even decided to call her. He revealed that Taapsee was also his friend and they were saying things to each other and he just wanted to sort things out. But when he did call her to talk about the same, she put their entire conversation on social media.

Talking about it, he said:

I am saying okay, if you are hurt by that, I will apologize for that. That’s what friends do. But she has gone on to a mode where ‘If (you) are not with me you are my enemy.

Anurag has also been tweeting about Kangana saying he doesn’t recognize her anymore and that he had watched an interview of hers after the release of Manikarnika and found it scary.

He wrote:

Intoxication of success and vigour seduces everyone equally, whether it is insider or outsider. “Learn from me, be like me”, I have never heard this from her before 2015. And since then, it has come to the point that those who are not with me are all mean and sycophantic.

Taapsee meanwhile has reacted to all of Kangana’s claims in an interview with the Hindustan Times. The actress said that she too has been dropped from films and replaced as star kids but the fact that Kangana and her sister Rangoli were trying to call her names, discredit for her hard work, and put wrong allegations against her were no lesser than harassment.
