It was last week when Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan took to their Twitter handles to share the news that they have tested positive for COVID-19 and has been hospitalised since then. Later, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya Bachchan were also admitted to the hospital after they showed some symptoms. Now, singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya has confirmed the news of his son, Dhruv Bhattacharya, contracting the disease.

According to a report by indianexpress.com, the singer said—

Dhruv was planning to travel abroad, and since there is a rule to get tested for coronavirus before travelling, he went for a voluntary test. He is asymptomatic. He has just a little cold and cough. He has quarantined himself at home and is taking all the precautions. There is nothing to worry about.

When the publication enquired about Abhijeet’s health, he said—

I am shooting in Kolkata, and the rule is that only if you have tested negative for coronavirus, can you get on sets. So I had tested negative, and I continue to shoot.

Dhruv Bhattacharya, who runs a restaurant in Mumbai, will be again tested for coronavirus in a few days again.

We wish him a speedy recovery!
