The coronavirus led lockdown has gotten a lot of people out of work and trying to make ends meet during these times have become more difficult. Many actors are struggling with their finances. Similarly, Humari Bahu Silk‘s lead actor Zaan Khan too has been sharing his plight on social media. According to a report by RepublicWorld.com, the actor revealed that had to sell off his car to make his ends meet and now he has no money left to pay for his rent.

This comes after the makers of the show failed to clear the dues of the cast and crew. The cast of the TV show had recently approached CINTAA and the local police for help regarding their problem. And, a week ago, they even staged a protest outside one of the producer’s residence. On Wednesday, a few members even showed up at Shiv Sena Bhawan to discuss their problem.

However, discussing his plight in detail, Zaan revealed that they worked on the show for a year, whereas the payment they have received to date is just for a month. He added that they pleaded the producers of the show, Devyani Rale, Jyoti Gupta & Sudhanshu Tripathi, and even tried to get their dues cleared but the efforts were in vain.

The actor talking about their dilemma said that there are people from the cast and crew who don’t even have the money to buy the basic essentials. He further added that he had to sell one of his two cars and has spent all his savings during the lockdown to help the team unit members. However, Zaan concluded by saying that he will have to resort to drastic measures if the producers don’t clear their dues.
