Sushant Singh Rajput‘s unfortunate death by suicide has led to an investigation by the Mumbai police. But, while that was on-going, his father, K. K. Singh filed a complaint against Sushant’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, accusing her of abetment to suicide. Now, a team of police officers from Bihar have reached Mumbai to conduct investigations on the case.

But, in a tweet yesterday, the DGP of Bihar, Gupteshwar Pandey, alleged that the IPS officer who had reached Mumbai to probe Sushant’s death, Vinay Tiwari, has been forcefully asked to quarantine by the civic authorities in the city.

He wrote in his tweet:

IPS officer Vinay Tiwari reached Mumbai today from Patna on official duty to lead the police team there but he has been forcibly quarantined by BMC officials at 11 PM today. He was not provided accommodation in the IPSMess despite request and was staying in a guest house in Goregaon.

The Bihar police have recorded statements from all people in relation to the case. Sushant’s father had accused Rhea of abetting to suicide, of taking crores of rupees from his bank account and for distancing him from his family.

Over the weekend, news of Rhea and her family leaving their Mumbai residence with suitcases was reported by Republic TV. Just yesterday, the Home Minister of Maharashtra, Anil Deshmukh condemned everyone who was seeking a CBI probe into the case, stating that the Mumbai police is equipped to solve the case.
