While the entire industry is still reeling from the untimely death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, we have been met with another unfortunate news. According to a report by Mid-Day, television actor Samir Sharma, who is known for his role in the show ‘Yeh Rishte Hai Pyaar Ke‘, passed away at his home in Malad, Mumbai.
The report states that the watchman of his building was the one who alerted the supervisor of the building, who then informed the police. There was no suicide note to be found at his home, which he moved into only in February this year. The senior inspector of Malad police station, George Fernandez informed the publication that a case of accidental death has been registered and his body has been sent for autopsy. The 44-year-old actor was found hanging from the kitchen ceiling. Looking at the condition they found him in, officials suspect that he had passed away two days ago.
Sameer was popular for his role as Kuhu’s father in Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishte Hai Pyaar Ke’. He has also starred in a number of other television serials including Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon – Ek Baar Phir, among others.
