News about Shah Rukh Khan‘s upcoming projects has always made headlines, and this time too, it has caught everyone’s attention. After Zero in 2018, the actor took a sabbatical from films and has been home, spending time with his family. Now, news is that he is all set to star in War director, Siddharth Anand‘s upcoming film, Pathan.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, a source is quoted as saying that SRK has signed on this action film where he will play the titular role of Pathan. To top it up, the report also says that Deepika Padukone is all set to reunite with SRK — her first ever hero, her Om Shanti Om co-star.
Speaking about Shah Rukh in the film, the source said:
It’s a massy title which sees Shah Rukh Khan play the most heroic character of his career. The actor has been on the hunt to do an action film for a while now and Siddharth Anand offered him exactly what he was looking for. The character is rooted, earthy, larger-than-life, it’s heroic, it’s stylish and has the swag to pull off the big scale action.
About Deepika being a part of the film, the source added:
It’s a meaty role, which is the primary reason for Deepika Padukone to sign on for the film.
Shah Rukh also has Rajkumar Hirani‘s social comedy in the pipeline for which he will begin shoot by the end of this year or early next year.
