Just last week, news of Ayushmann Khurrana‘s upcoming film was announced. The actor is all set to play a cross-sectional athlete in the Abhishek Kapoor directorial. The yet-untitled film is said to be a progressive love story set in North India and is set to go on floors this October. Given it’s a love story, we were obviously curious about who is going to be cast opposite him. And looks like we finally have the answer to that.
The gorgeous actress, Vaani Kapoor, is all set to play the lead opposite Ayushmann in the film.
Thrilled about being roped into the project, Vaani says:
It’s a lovely, heart rendering film. I have always wanted to work with Abhishek Kapoor, being so inspired by his films. This feels like an amazing opportunity to be part of his vision. Ayushmann is one of the most talented actors of our generation and I’m thrilled that our first film together is this beautiful love story.
Speaking about casting Vaani as his heroine in the film, Abhishek says:
I thought Vaani was fabulous in Befikre. She’s beautiful and a very committed actor. I am looking forward to having her and Ayushmann on set. I believe the combination will be electrifying.
We sure can’t wait to see this duo on screen together!
Vaani clearly is on a roll! Apart from this film in the pipeline, she also has Yash Raj‘s Shamshera alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. She is also set to start shooting for Akshay Kumar‘s upcoming film, Bell Bottom, in the UK.
