Arshad Warsi and Sanjay Dutt will always be Munna and Circuit to us, no? Their bond is one that goes way beyond their on-screen camaraderie, and they’re great friends off-screen, too. So, when news of Sanjay Dutt’s cancer diagnosis broke out, Arshad was definitely shocked.

Late on Tuesday night, news of Sanjay being diagnosed with stage three lung cancer emerged, shocking all his fans and friends alike. The actor was admitted to the hospital over the weekend after he complained of breathing issues, and while they ruled out COVID-19, a few tests he took revealed that he was suffering from cancer. The actor announced that he will be taking a short break from work, and news is, that he is set to fly overseas for the treatment.

Speaking to Mid-Day in an interview, Arshad said that he was still coming to terms with the news and said:

We spoke when he was hospitalised last week; he assured me he was fine.

But Arshad is sure that his Munna, Sanjay, will fight and survive these testing times like he always has in all other situations.

He further added:

I don’t know anyone who would have survived [the difficulties] that he has faced head-on. Despite the situations, he has an air of positivity. I have never seen him crib about his hardships. He will emerge triumphant here too; he is a fighter.

Recently, there was news of the duo re-uniting for another project, a comedy film titled ‘Blockbuster’. When asked about the shoot of the film, which was supposed to start next month, Arshad told the publication, “Films can come and go, but people like him are rare. I pray that he gets better.

We also pray for Sanjay Dutt’s speedy recovery and wish him and his close family and friends all the strength in these trying times.
