Social media and traditional media are in chaos with speculations, theories, appeals, and a lot more. Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput‘s shocking demise, nothing has ever been the same. Along with the ongoing investigation, social media has also become a breeding ground for speculation and theories. Actor Sooraj Pancholi found himself amidst one such theory that suggested that he had a hand in Sushant’s ex-manager Disha Salian‘s death and in turn Sushant’s death. The actor immediately took to clear his name saying he had never seen Disha in his life. But theories continue to float.
But today Sooraj Pancholi and Disha Salian’s parents separately filed separate complaints with the Mumbai Police against actor Puneet Vashist for posting defamatory content on his Facebook account in the light of Sushant and Disha’s deaths.
According to a report in The Indian Express, Sooraj cited a post, dated back to 3oth June on Puneet’s account that linked Sooraj to both the deaths and said defamatory things about both Sooraj, Disha, and other Bollywood actors.
Reportedly the post was edited on 2nd July and the word ‘forwarded’ was added to the beginning of the post. The post is still doing the rounds on social media and has reportedly been share multiple times. Sooraj’s complaint allegedly states that he was informed about the post by his friends. And it requests for the police to ask Puneet to procure evidence for the theory that he has posted and if he doesn’t have any, strict action should be taken.
Meanwhile, Disha’s family filed a complaint last week saying that the post was tarnishing their daughter’s image. No FIR has been registered by the police in regards to both the complaints as of now.
