Karan Singh Grover is one of the most popular faces on Television. Although his recent stint on TV was cut short due to the pandemic, Karan will be seen in the MX Player‘s Dangerous.
I got to speak to the actor about his acting journey so far, how it was to shoot with his wife Bipasha Basu, and much more. Amidst our super fun conversation, I had to ask him about his on and off stint with Kasautii Zindagii Kay and what he thought of Karan Patel replacing him as Mr.Rishab Bajaj.
Karan played Mr. Bajaj in the reprised version of Kasautii Zindagii Kay. But he had to leave in between and in the show, Bajaj was shown as leaving Prerna’s life. But the character made a reentry at the beginning of this year but Karan decided to leave again because of the pandemic. Talking about the same he said that he wouldn’t have left if the shooting wasn’t beginning so soon or if his character’s entry wasn’t expected to be so soon. The actor said it was only because of the pandemic and the increasing number of cases that he had to step back. On being asked about whether he watches KZK now and Karan Patel replacing him, he had the funniest answer.
He said:
No…We have a Karan society. We have a club. Actually all the Karans, all of us we have a company together johar is also a part of it. Content is given to us and it is presented and we decide which Karan will do what. So we do this really. Ask Wahi! Ask Patel also. We’re like yo, I can’t be doing Bajaj right now because of corona and all that…so then, Patel is doing it. It’s no big deal. If he doesn’t want to do it, Wahi will do it.
