It’s not every day that we get to see two of the most popular faces in Hollywood on-screen together. So naturally, we were over the moon when we read reports of Kevin Hart and Will Smith finally collaborating for a movie. Kevin and Will will be seen producing and starring in the remake of Planes, Trains, And Automobiles. Kevin took to Instagram to confirm the news that was first reported in Deadline. He said that he had been waiting to collaborate with Will and had finally found the project.
For those unaware, the original Planes, Trains, and Automobiles is a road-trip comedy starring Steve Martin and the late John Candy as a pair of mismatched businessmen forced to become bunkmates and travel partners in an attempt to get home to their respective families for Thanksgiving.
The remake will be a modern update on the same story. Kevin’s production house HartBeat Productions and Will’s production house WestbrookStudios are currently developing the remake. Ayesha Carr, known for writing the show Brooklyn 99 is set to write the screenplay.
We’re so excited for this movie, we can already imagine it being hilarious! You know what’d be even better? If Dwayne Johnson made a cameo in the movie.
