Vidya Balan‘s current schedule is power-packed with consecutive e-promotions of her newly released film, Shakuntala Devi. The actor, for all of her virtual events, took an ethnic route with an enviable traditional wardrobe. However, the highlight of her looks is the fact that Vidya picked every element of her outfit from homegrown labels. Whether it was garments or accessories, everything was crafted by brands that are local. Although most of her looks saw her in a saree, she occasionally broke the monotony with other ethnic silhouettes. Think kurtas, tunics and shararas, that are also sustainable in nature. The latest addition to her kitty is a kurta set, dipped in shades of white. There is something superior about the way Vidya carries herself in any form of Indian-wear and exudes a regal appeal with each look. And her latest look was no less!

Vidya Balan’s kurta is a wardrobe investment you’ll want to make:

For one of the film’s post-release promotions, the on-screen Shakuntala Devi donned a straight-cut kurta set brought to life by Gopi Vaid. The ivory kurta featured playful motifs like birds and blooms, juxtaposed carefully with zardozi mirror work along the neckline. The pristine white kurta was elevated with the vibrancy of colours like bright orange, lavender, fuchsia pink and green. The sleeves of the kurta were made using off-white, Chanderi fabric and finished with laser-cut lace at the hems. A pair of white, cigarette pants pieced the look together.

In the accessory department, the actress went with shoulder-grazing, silver earrings. Letting her outfit do most of the talking, Vidya picked see-through heels to complete the look. Rosy lips and some eyeliner rounded off her makeup with her lustrous locks left open.
