In this series, we bring to you your favourite celebrities’ current binge-watch list! So, if you’re looking for recommendations on what to watch next or want to know what genre your favourite celebrities are into and why they recommend it, these blogs will tell you just that.

The one skill I developed during the lockdown is finding movies and series that aren’t popular enough but deserve all the recognition! I’ve had such a great time finding some of the best and sometimes surprisingly unexpected content I’ve ever watched in a long time. And so, I thought what if there are other people doing this too! Maybe their suggestions could be something to try watching next. Also, I am always curious about what people from the industry themselves love binge-watching! And Chandan Roy Sanyal, told us what series/movies he’s been watching and loving lately.

You might know him for his breakthrough performance in the 2009 film Kaminey, his role as Batukeshwar Dutt in Rang De Basanti, and more! He’s worked in both Hindi and Bengali films and has given some stellar performances in both. And it’s always a curiosity to know what such fine actors love to binge watch on. Scroll down to check out Chandan Roy Sanyal’s list of his favourite quarantine picks!

1. The Sopranos

Where: Hotstar

One of the best mobsters shows ever written! It’s even better than Breaking Bad I feel.

2. Somebody Feed Phil

Where: Netflix

A travel food show on Netflix by Phil Rosenthal, the creator of Everybody Loves Raymond—it’s a great one!

3. Ugly Delicious

Where: Netflix

Another super show on street food by Chef David Chang! It’s just fantastic because it actually traces the history of food on the streets.

4. Wormwood

Where: Netflix

A limited series on CIA conspiracies—it’s a great genre-bending series where it marries docu fiction with reality.

5. Hello Ladies

Where: Disney+ Hotstar

HelloLadies by Stephen Merchant on Hotstar is a great comedy about a British man in LA. The writers are the same ones who also wrote The Office—Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg!
