However much you enjoyed the good old days and are proud of how far you’ve come, there are times when you want to hide under a blanket and wish your old pictures from then just disappeared, right? Well, Shilpa Shetty Kundra is no different! The stunning actress made her debut in films with Baazigar opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Just today, the actress recounted the whole experience shooting for the movie to Mumbai Mirror.

The actress says that she was first to debut with the film, Gaata Rahe Mera Dil, opposite the brothers — Ronit and Rohit Roy. But while that didn’t happen, she went on to bag the role in Baazigar opposite Shah Rukh, whom she says she was a fan of since his stint in the television show, Fauji. Now, she says that she was so new to acting then, that she was not aware of camera and frames. She reminisces how it was Shah Rukh who taught her that the camera is her audience and that she should pay attention to that.

Speaking about how she was an outsider who came from no filmy background, she says that she was just acting for fun until she did Dhadkan and Phir Milenge, and gave her hit chartbuster, ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari‘. She says she found the stardom then and started commanding a high price for her work.

She adds:

I didn’t come from a filmy background, so it was all about buying a car and a bigger house. Thankfully, the audience was much more forgiving back then. When I see my hair and makeup in old movies, I want to hide under the chair.

Well, it’s all happy memories now for this boss woman!
