While we’re all still reeling from the trauma of Covid-19, Malaika Arora seems to be back at work. She’s been shooting in full swing and is gracing us with major fashion inspo. Often times, we don’t see Malaika wearing a lot of Indian wear. But when she does, she blows it out of the park. To no one’s surprise, the diva graced us with an OTT lehenga on the set of India’s Best Dancer. She is currently a judge on the show that airs on Sony Entertainment Television. It also seems that Kiara Advani was spotted wearing the same lehenga last year in wine colour. The actress was seen wearing the glamourous outfit to Armaan Jain and Anissa Malhotra‘s sangeet ceremony. Shiny OTT lehengas are every Bollywood celebrities go-to option.

Here’s a closer look at Malaika’s dreamy lehenga:

Maneka Harisinghani styled Malaika in an icy blue, metallic stonework lehenga from Manish Malhotra. The blouse features a plunging neckline with dull gold straps making it subtly sexy. The dupatta and the lehenga skirt all feature the same dull gold border with embellishment. The puffy lehenga skirt has multiple streaks of sequin and stonework embellishments. Malaika accessorised her look with fine jewellery from Renu Oberoi which included an emerald cuff and 2 statement rings. The addition of the green is a welcomed changed to the icy blue palette of her sparkly ensemble.

Malaika wore her hair slick in the front and tucked it behind her ears—this style amplified the use of her maang tikka. However, hairstylist Flavien Heldt had a li’l surprise for us in the back by giving her a few curls. For her beauty, Divya Chablani gave her a smokey brown eye and a muted brown lip. Subtle rosy cheeks and strong brows punctuate her gorgeous look.

Here’s a look at some more Indian looks from Malaika that we loved:

1. In Sangeeta Kilachand

Malaika looks gorgeous in this Patan patola saree paired with a more contemporary crop-top from Emblaze. She accessorised her look with gajra and silver jewellery from Apala by Sumit.

2. In Amit Aggarwal

Malaika’s red hot saree is jaw-dropping and definitely not a look for the faint-hearted. The metallic blouse features a deep, plunging V-neck with a sheer drop sleeve on one shoulder. The saree appears to be pre-stitched and the part of the saree that gets draped features a ton of mico-pleats. She accessorised her look with diamonds from Farah Khan.

3. In Tarun Tahiliani

This golden beaded lehenga looks remarkable on Malaika. The skirt of the lehenga features a chevron pattern and the dupatta is draped to sit like a saree. The sheer dupatta also features a similar chevron embellishment. The tube top-style blouse is embellished in rhinestone to match the rhinestones running through the outfit. I love the colours because they look super pleasant and remind of a very balmy Sunday sunset. She accessorised with fine jewellery from Roopa Vohra.

4. In Itrh

Again, Malaika bamboozled us with a western vibe mixed with her Indian wear. She pairs a long sleeve, polo-neck, crop-top with a crushed, gold lehenga skirt. She off-set the colours by accessorising with green stone jewellery from Goenka India.

5. In AM: PM

Not the greatest fan of this look but I love how she accessorised this look. She pulled her hair back into a tight low bun and wore a statement, silver maang tikka. Two chunky, silver statement necklaces from Apala by Sumit elevate her look. Whereas, she wears a velvet, embellished jacket with Indian motifs over a very simple cream dhoti co-ord set.
