The gusto with which Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated every year is slightly toned down this time. Even though the usual excitement is absent, the festival gave people a reason to roister, while being cooped up in their safe abodes. But some stepped out to visit their close friends and family with precautionary measures. The festival paved the way for everyone to play dress-up with their ethnic wear. Many celebrities were photographed in Indian silhouettes that were a treat to the eyes! Want in on who wore what? Read on for more!

5 celebrities we spotted during the first two days of Ganesh Chaturthi:

1. Shraddha Kapoor

The actress celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with an eco-friendly approach. The idol was made fully out of clay and contained plant seeds, which upon immersion would grow into a plant. For the Visarjan, Shraddha wore a blush pink kurta with beige patiala pants. The kurta was printed with minuscule blue hearts that graduated to multicoloured, floral embroidery towards the hem. The sleeves came in a fit-and-flare form giving it an easy-breezy feel. She jazzed up her look with pink and purple chaandbalis.

2. Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline paid a visit to Sohail Khan‘s house for Ganpati in a pastel kurta set. Shiny yet subtle was the actor’s vibe for the occasion as she picked a pistachio green, satin kurta with white pants. The kurta was adorned with embellishments along the neckline, while the floral dupatta elevated her look. She completed her look with her hair pulled back in a sleek ponytail and some eyeliner and a cream-coloured face mask.

3. Daisy Shah

Daisy was seen outside Sohail Khan’s residence for Ganesh Chaturthi on day 1 and day 2. On the first day, the actor went pretty in pink wearing a fuchsia pink ensemble. The kurta featured a fine, gold border and minimal mirrorwork that added a touch of glamour to the look. A pair of flared palazzos with a zig-zag pattern in a golden hue along with a tasselled dupatta completed her look. She complemented her all-pink outfit with a grey face mask that came with pastel yellow and dark blue blooms. A pair of golden jhumkas elevated her look further.

On the day of the Visarjan at Sohail’s place, the actor opted for a subtle colour palette as opposed to her day 1 outfit. For the festivities, Daisy wore a pale, salmon-pink kurta by Shrinkhla, that came in a busy, floral print, block printed in a sky blue hue. She paired her kurta with pristine, white palazzos and a white dupatta with blue florals. White, embellished juttis rounded off her OOTD, while she accessorised her look with silver jhumkas.

Bright and bold was Divya’s sartorial motto for the festivities as the actor donned a bright pink kurta set. The kurta was decorated with beads in floral motifs while the hemline featured a dainty, gold border. The sharara-like pants featured shiny, golden stripes with a golden border at the hems. The dupatta also featured golden stripes. The ensemble was perfectly balanced between OTT and subtlety for festivities at home!

5. Waluscha De Sousa

The model and actress was papped at Sohail’s residence for Ganesh festivities. On day 1 of Bappa’s arrival, Waluscha opted for pastel yellow ethnic wear. The plain kurta was enhanced with silver threadwork on the bust. However, the star punctuated her look with a beautiful, floral printed dupatta in red and green. A pair of hoops with jhumkas and multicoloured juttis completed her look. In the beauty department, Waluscha sported a red lip and some eyeliner, with her hair pulled back in a sleek bun.

For the day of Visarjan, the actor picked a white and red salwar kameez. The kurta came with a V-neckline, which was decorated with sea-blue embellishments and a red border. The body of the kurta was adorned with abstract, red patterns and was elevated with mirrorwork. She teamed her multi-printed kurta with plain, white trousers, but accentuated it further with a floral, red and blue dupatta. To complement her outfit, Waluscha opted for beige juttis with red blooms that completed her look. Her signature red lip and a pair of silver jhumkas added finishing touches to the look.
