The wait for Mirzapur season 2 has been real for all fans. The first season garnered great appreciation for taking audiences into the dark, complex world of drugs, guns and lawlessness in the town of Mirzapur. With the first season ending, we all were left wanting for more. In an announcement video recently, Amazon Prime Video shared that they will reveal the release date of the second season today.
And we have the date now! The show is all set to premiere on 23rd October. This news has fans of the show super excited!
They released a short teaser showing glimpses of the first season of the show, with bullets being fired in the background. It looks back at the death of the pivotal characters of the show, with Ali Fazal‘s character, Guddu, speaking. He says that they killed everyone close to him and left him alive, but that it’s a mistake because he is all set to avenge their deaths.

Mirzapur is a story of a local don named Kaleen Bhaiyya (Pankaj Tripathi) who is the king of his own criminal empire. This gets toppled when two brothers, namely Guddu (Ali Fazal) and Bablu Pandit (Vikrant Massey), enter the scene. They lock horns with Kaleen Bhaiyya and his son, Munna (Divyendu Sharma), which forms the crux of the tale.
The first season also starred Shriya Pilgaonkar in a pivotal role, who is killed along with Vikrant Massey’s character. Now, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Amit Sial, Anjum Sharma, Sheeba, Chaddha, Manu Rishi Chadha and Rajesh Tailang are all set to return to the action-packed series.
Apart from them, Vijay Varma, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Isha Talwar are also set to join the cast in the second season of the show!
