Ganesh Chaturthi kick starts the festive season in India and Kajal Aggarwal took to social media to share photos of her celebratory ensemble. This season we saw a lot of celebrities go down the eco-friendly route and it really set a great example for people wishing to make the switch. It’s also bought some form of happiness and productivity into the homes of many during this pandemic. Given that all of Bollywood has been laying low during this time, it was a welcome change to see all them take to Instagram and share snippets of their puja’s and celebrations at home. We saw so many of them sport the best traditional sartorial choices and a lot of them opted for salwar-sets because they never go out of style. Scroll on to see more of Kajal’s look.

Here’s a closer look at Kajal’s purple salwar suit:

For her Ganeshotsav celebrations at home, Kajal picked a magenta salwar suit with a purple tint. The spaghetti-strap, silk kurta in a vivid hue is from Anita Dongre, which means the craftsmanship is impeccable. The Aabida set features gota pati embroidery with dori, sequins and cut-dana work. The actress paired her kurta with matching embroidered, silk palazzo pant-bottoms and a sheer, embroidered net dupatta. There’s something so beautiful about net dupattas on deep necklines, I love the modesty and sultriness it brings to any Indian look. Kajal accessorised her look with chunky, sterling silver earrings from Sheetal Zaveri by Vithaldas.

This particular kurta set is what I would call the perfect wedding guest outfit especially if you’re the dancer amongst all your friends. You’ll want something that doesn’t restrict your movement and allows you to comfortably move at the pace you please. It’s kinda also the perfect outfit for those low-key pandemic weddings too, no? The richness of the colour and the subtlety of the design make it appropriate for the festive and wedding season that is right around the corner.

Kajal sported a fresh-faced by wearing just the right amount of blush and the perfect blush pink lipstick. She filled in her brows and kept her hair straight. Simple makeup that works best when you wear bright clothes because you want the outfit to be the statement.
