Influencers are definitely the stars of today! They have a huge audience and millions of followers online. It is always heart-warming to see privileged people help others who are at a disadvantage and recently we have seen many influencers do so. Here are a few Indian influencers who have used their position to call attention towards overlooked issues in our country and raise funds for important causes. Isn’t it amazing to see talented influencers do their bit for society and have a charitable mindset? Check out these 7 Influencers who leveraged their position to do social good!

Here they are:

1. Jitendra Sharma a.k.a Ted The Stoner

Ted The Stoner is one page that we all know about! Apart from posting funny and relatable content, Ted has been doing a lot of good through his page. Apart from frequently raising his voice against animal brutality, he has got over 12 thousand stray dogs adopted so far, how heart-warming is that?

2. Ashish Chanchlani

Ashish is one of the most sought-after content creators and has a huge fandom on digital mediums like Instagram and YouTube. He decided to donate 1 Lakh each (total 2 lakhs) towards Assam and Bihar’s CM Relief Fund respectively so that he can help out the people of the North-East (who were facing terrible floods). This surely created a positive impact on the people!

3. Bhuvan Bam

In the third episode of Bhuvan Bam’s series of ‘Titu Talks‘, he took a bold step and decided to visit the slums of Mumbai. The idea behind featuring them in the video was to acknowledge the fact that labourers, migrants, and other less privileged people in the society are facing problems and it’s our duty to listen, understand and share their story. We love how he understands that you don’t always need money to help others out, a simple act of kindness is enough!

4. Ranveer Allahbadia a.k.a @beerbiceps

Ranveer and his company Monk – Entertainment recently ran a campaign on Ketto and helped raise more than 12 Lakh rupees. The main idea behind this was to provide PPE kits to independent doctors and smaller hospitals. This certainly helped so many doctors combat the pandemic effectively.

5. Nikunj Lotia a.k.a Be Younick

Nikunj Lotia a.k.a @beyounick  is a famous face amongst the youth and believes in silently doing good for society. Amidst the pandemic, he decided to help people out by distributing food as well as donating money to the needy. Moreover, he also took part in multiple fundraisers and crowd-funding campaigns.

I DID IT! I chopped my hair!🥺💛 If you’re shocked, know that I myself am still trying to process it, even though I’ve been building up the courage for over 2 years. Given the fact that I’m a punjabi who was never allowed to cut her hair short, convincing my parents was very difficult but who can say no, when it’s for a good cause? I’m donating the chopped locks away to @hairforhopeindia all 18 inches of it! The idea is to convert the donated hair into wigs for chemo patients. As if the distressing side effects of chemotherapy isn’t enough, cancer patients also have to battle crippling self-esteem issues. If you’ve seen synthetic hair wigs, you’d know how artificial they look which is what makes real hair wigs expensive. So why must one throw away all that hair when it can be made into a symbol of hope for a struggling person? It costs nothing! If there’s anything we’ve learnt during this pandemic, it’s to help each other and be kind.🤍We’ve seen people rising to help others. And nothing makes me happier than in knowing that I’ve taken a step in doing that too!✨ And it definitely won’t be the last, if you have the power to make someone happy. Do it. The world needs more of that.🌸

Madan Gowri is an immensely popular content creator and he decided to use his position to help educate less-privileged students. He collaborated with superstar Supriya’s Agaram Foundation and conducted a motivational session for more than 200 college grads. He gave valuable insight on how to deal with the pandemic and move ahead in their career.

9. Krissann Barretto

Krissann has always had the dream of providing free education to 1000 underprivileged kids and she made that happen with the help of Earth Angels Welfare Foundation! She has not only helped raise funds for the NGO but has also actively taken part in reaching out to the kids and providing education.

10. Adnaan Shaikh

Adnaan’s new track ‘Ro Ro Ke Guzre Din‘ recently came out and it promotes a beautiful message of suicide prevention. Apart from that, all the proceeds from the song went into providing masks to the needy people. Adnaan has been associated with the #OneMillionMasks mission and has done his every bit to make sure masks are provided to people who need it.
