The latest one to provide the entire country major laughs was the Gopi Bahu and Kokilaben ‘Rasode Mein Koun Tha’ rap video by music composer, Yashraj Mukhate, taken from a scene in the serial ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’.
The Saath Nibhaana Saathiya actors featuring in the video, namely — Gia Manek (Gopi Bahu), Rupal Patel (Kokilaben) and Rucha Hasabnis (Rashi) —also had a good laugh watching it. They thanked the show for giving them the opportunity to still touch so many hearts. Now, for all the fans who felt nostalgic about the show and the Modi family, there’s some good news. The makers of the show have said that they are all set to come back with a season 2 of the show!
Yes, the much loved television serial launched in 2010 and ended in July 2017. Now, the producer of the show, Rashmi Sharma confirmed to Mumbai Mirror that they are, in fact, going to come out with another season of the show. She says that she was thinking of bringing back the show, and that during the lockdown, its re-runs were watched widely by audiences. She added that there will be news storylines and twists to the characters, but will mostly remain a family show.
When the serial ended, Devoleena Bhattacharjee was playing Gopi, while Rupal Patel played Kokilaben. They both are set to return to the show, while they are still on the hunt for new faces for the rest of the cast.
