Just recently, actress Lakshmi Manchu took to her social media account to speak up about the media trials of Rhea Chakraborty, who has been accused of abetment to suicide in Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death case. Right after, actress Taapsee Pannu also agreed to her and voiced similar sentiments. Now, Vidya Balan has come out in support as she retweeted Lakshmi Manchu’s message.

Supporting the actress for voicing out her opinion, Vidya lauded Lakshmi and said:

God bless you @LakshmiManchu for saying this out loud. It is so unfortunate that the tragic and untimely death of a beloved young star Sushant Singh, Rajput has become a media circus. In the same breath, as a woman, my heart breaks at the vilification of Rhea Chakraborty. Isn’t it supposed to be ‘Innocent Until Proven Guilty’, or is it now ‘Guilty Until Proven Innocent’!? Let’s show some respect for the constitutional rights of a citizen and let the law take its course.

Have a look Lakshmi’s tweet here—

Currently, the case of Sushant Singh Rajput is being investigated by the CBI. Till now, their team has called Rhea for questioning for four consecutive days. On Tuesday, they quizzed Rhea’s parents and her brother Showik Chakraborty.

According to a report by India Today, three officers of the CBI, who are part of the probe, told the publication that the investigation team has so far not found any evidence to suggest that the late actor was murdered. The probe, however, is still on.
