It has just been a mere few weeks since Om Raut and Prabhas teased us with a new project that they’re going to be collaborating on. The following day that the director-actor duo was going to make a magnum opus called Adipurush a visual retelling of the Hindu mythology Ramayan. As is expected, Prabhas is roped in to play Ram.

Even though the makers didn’t say much when they released the poster, elements in the poster gave away that it was going to be a magnum opus on Lord Ram. After Ram, the next biggest character in Ramayan is of course his arch-nemesis Raavan. Tomorrow the official announcement of the same is about to happen at 7:11 AM. The makers had released posters asking everyone to hold on to their breaths for the big announcement tomorrow.

But we’ve exclusively got to know from a source close to the project that it is a really famous Bollywood actor who will be stepping into Raavan’s shoes. And it is none other than Saif Ali Khan! There have been reports around the internet that Saif might be joining the cast and will be playing Raavan, but finally, a source close to the project confirmed the news with us.

We’re absolutely thrilled to see Saif in a negative shade yet again, the actor has proved time and again that he can effortlessly play a negative role to perfection with his portrayal of Lagda Tyagi in Omkara and more recently as Udaybhan Rathod in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Om Raut who directed Tamhaji is the one who will direct this magnum opus as well. Looks like the director was taken by Saif’s portrayal of Udaybhan and hence cast him as the world’s most intelligent demon.

Saif was last seen in Jawaani Jaaneman and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior both of which released in January this year.
