News of Parth Samthaan quitting his show, Kasautii Zindagii Kay came as a shocker to all his fans and followers. The actor, who plays the protagonist, Anurag, on the show felt that the focus was shifting from him. The makers of the show now reportedly had a conversation with him recently and have managed to retain him on the show.
According to a report by ETimes, a source was quoted as saying that talks were on with Parth, but given the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations all these days, Ekta Kapoor finally managed to find time now and sat down to resolve the issues. The source reveals that the makers have agreed to Parth’s demands and will be raising his remuneration and shift the focus of the show to him. Previously, the focus was leaning towards Mr. Bajaj (Karan Singh Grover and then Karan Patel) and Prerna (Erica Fernandes). Now, the show will reportedly focus on Parth’s character, Anurag, Prerna and their on-screen daughter; with Karan Patel and Aamna Sharriff‘s (Komolika) characters still being an important part of the show.
The report also hints at the show getting another time slot, moving it to late night or early prime time slots. The source shares that the upcoming show, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 will mostly take its slot.
