We recently reported that actor Arjun Kapoor has stepped into the shoes of Ali Fazal in Pawan Kripalani‘s Bhoot Police. Now according to a report by MidDay, actors Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam have joined the cast of the Saif Ali Khan-led horror-comedy.
Filmmaker Pawan Kripalani, who has earlier helmed films like Ragini MMS (2011) and Phobia among others, is excited about giving the humorous touch to the horror film.
Speaking to the publication he said—
This will be my first collaboration with the entire cast. We needed someone to add an element of craziness to this entertainer, and both of them will add magic to the script.
Producer Ramesh Taurani added that they were keen on getting Jacqueline and Yami on board from the beginning.
The laugh riot, which chronicles the story of a pair of ghostbusters, was announced in 2019 with Saif, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh as the leads. When the director was asked about the reason behind the change in the cast, he said it was the demand of the story. “The script has gone through several changes after Rameshji and Akshai [Puri, co-producer] got on board. Saif, Arjun, Jacqueline and Yami perfectly complement each other in the film,” says Pawan Kripalani.
