Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have signed a multi-year deal with the streaming giant, Netflix. The duo is all set to make TV series, films and children’s shows for the OTT platform. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who recently bought a family home in Los Angeles, have joined the other famous personalities including the former US president Barack and Michelle Obama, in signing a production deal with the streaming giant.

In the month of January, the Sussexes had officially made an announcement that they intend to step back as senior members of the royal family. And now the couple has set up a production company to create content for Netflix.

According to The Guardian, the royal couple said in a statement that—

Our lives, both independent of each other and as a couple, have allowed us to understand the power of the human spirit, of courage, resilience and the need for connection.

The further went on to say that—

Through our work with diverse communities and their environments, to shining a light on people and causes around the world, our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope. As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us, as is powerful storytelling through a truthful and relatable lens.

On the acting front, Meghan who was last seen in legal drama series, Suits made her return to the show business with Disney’s nature documentary Elephant, where she narrated a role.
