What really happens after we die? A question that many of us, if not all of us have thought of. Do we go to heaven or hell? Is there a heaven or hell? Netflix India‘s latest film starring Vikrant Massey and Shweta Tripathi poses a quirky and fascinating answer to these questions. It’s called Cargo.

The premise is the most interesting one I’ve come across so far. Cargo reimagines life after death to be in space, more specifically on a space station orbiting the earth. Vikrant Massey who plays Prahastha, a rakshasa works for the Post Death Transition Services along with his colleague played by Shweta Tripathi.  He ‘recycles’ people after death for their rebirths. But will his everyday ‘desk job’ help him understand an even more important question – the meaning of life? The movie is all set to release on 9th September 2020 on Netflix.

Cargo first premiered at the 2019 Jio MAMI festival under the spotlight section.

I’m super excited for this movie and I’m sure many of you are too. Here’s wishing the entire team of Cargo all the very best!
