We had recently reported that reality TV show Big Boss has been postponed by a month because the repair work at the set was pending. Now, new details about the lockdown-themed season of the reality show have emerged. The 14th season of the show which will be hosted by superstar Salman Khan will reportedly air from October 3.

According to a report by the Indian Express, the season will be themed around the COVID-19 lockdown. The publication quoted a source as saying—

Throughout the lockdown, people have missed certain activities, be it shopping, eating out or watching films. As part of the luxury tasks, contestants would be able to win a chance to enjoy these in the Bigg Boss 14 house. As Salman Khan said in the teaser videos, this would be a befitting reply to 2020.

The report suggests that contestants will be provided with luxuries that they used to enjoy before the coronavirus outbreak. Luxuries like visiting the mall, watching movies in the theatre, and going to the restaurants. The makers also release a new promo for the new season where Salman Khan can be seen sitting in a movie theatre. He said in a voiceover, “Ab scene paltega.”

Celebrities who are said to be participating in the show are Nia Sharma, Pavitra Punia, Akanksha Puri, Nishant Malkani, Eijaz Khan, Naina Singh, Kumar Janu and Vivian Dsena. Meanwhile, celebrities like Adhyayan Suman, Chahat Pandey, Rajeev Sen and filmmaker Onir have denied the rumours of them being a part of the show.
