Tiger Shroff has been on a roll! From signing on the Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood film, Rambo, to re-uniting with the team of his debut film, Heropanti for its sequel, he has some interesting projects lined up! Now, news is that he is all set to play a boxer in an upcoming, two-part sports drama called Ganpat.

To be directed by Vikas Bahl, a report in Mumbai Mirror quotes a source as saying that Tiger is a huge fan of MMA, wrestling and boxing, and wanted to do a film in this space. So when Vikas narrated the script to him, he was immediately on board. Tiger will play a boxer named Ganpat in the film based in Mumbai, which will chronicle his journey from a Mumbai boy to a world-class boxer.

You might have seen Tiger developing his physique during the lockdown. The report states that it’s because he was prepping for this role of his as a boxer, which demands a certain buffed up physique, he had to work on his appearance.

This will be the first time director Vikas Bahl also ventures into action and sports. But the source tells the publication that it is an underdog story at its core, with an emotional father-son sub-plot. The source adds that the search is on for the role of Tiger’s father in the film.

I am sure excited to see Tiger play a boxer and am sure he will be great at it!
