Actress Ankita Lokhande has been in the news for her vocal support for ex-boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput‘s family in the investigations behind his unfortunate death. Recently, after the arrest of Rhea Chakraborty by the NCB, she posted a quote about ‘Karma’ and ‘Fate’. This was pulled up by Rhea’s close friend, Shibani Dandekar, who slammed her for being a part of the ‘witch hunt’ which is vilifying Rhea without any proof.
Ankita then posted a letter to clarify her stand on the investigations in Sushant’s case and questioned why Rhea didn’t inform Sushant’s family about his depression and use of drugs, calling her ‘irresponsible’. Shibani then shared a note calling Ankita the ‘princess of patriarchy’ and saying she wants her ‘2 seconds of fame’ through this discussion.
This led to a lot of television actors coming out in support of Ankita. From Rashami Desai, Hina Khan, Karanvir Bohra, Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Vikas Gupta, a lot of television stars came out to back their friend and stated that she has enough popularity and fame already.
Hina Khan wrote, “A person who’s made it in two credible mediums all by herself, a girl who rose from a scratch to become a TV Star n then shone brighter in films..Absolutely doesn’t need ‘2 second fame’ @anky1912 here’s some love for ur grit n journey. Respect shud b equal in all quarters Period!”
Rashami Desai posted a story saying Ankita is a star who doesn’t need two seconds of fame and that she doesn’t have to prove her worth to anybody. Karanvir Bohra also put out a tweet saying he knows Ankita from when she was with Sushant and said that he stands with her.
Vikas Gupta took to his account to share a video for Ankita, he shared how she has won multiple awards and built a career of her own in both television and films.
