Hollywood Actor Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson were one of the first few celebrities to test positive for COVID-19. He informed about his coronavirus diagnosis in March, when the pandemic was just setting in worldwide. They were set to start shoot of the film in Queensland when they caught the virus, but seems like 6 months down, he is all fit and is now back to Australia for the shoot of his film.

The veteran actor is going to be starring in the untitled biopic of famous American musician, Elvis Presley. It is going to be directed by Baz Luhrmann. According to a report by Variety, it quotes Luhrmann as saying that they are back on sets. He said, “We`re back to, as Elvis liked to say,`taking care of business’!

Variety also quotes the director as saying:

It is a real privilege in this unprecedented global moment that Tom Hanks has been able to return to Australia to join Austin Butler and all of our extraordinary cast and crew to commence production on Elvis.

The shoot was to begin in Queensland in March, but the coronavirus pandemic had halted the filming. Now, they are set to go back on floors from the 23rd of September.

In the note, Baz Luhrmann, also thanks the government of Queensland for their “diligent process” in helping them start shoot so they can be examples of how creative work can go forth responsibly. He adds that Tom Hanks is in quarantine for two weeks now before he starts shoot.

I sure am excited for this film! What about you guys?
