Aayush Sharma, who made his Bollywood debut with Love Yatri alongside Warina Hussain, is all set for his next film, Guns Of North. The film which is an official remake of Mulshi Pattern, a Marathi film was to be helmed by Abhiraj Minawala who also directed Aayush’s first film, Love Yatri. However, now according to a report by Mumbai Mirror, it’s now Mahesh Manjrekar who will be wearing the director’s hat for Guns Of North.

The gangster drama will be completely shot on real locations. Since it’s a drama full of grit, the makers of the film decided on Mahesh Manjrekar to helm as he has directed films like Vaastav and City of Gold in the past. The film is expected to go on floors soon.
The report further added that superstar, Salman Khan‘s extended cameo has been plucked out from the film. He was supposed to play the character of a Sikh cop in the film. However, the makers felt that the cop-track addition would take away from the essence of the movie and would hinder the script. Hence Salman will not be a part of the movie now.
The director is now working towards getting together an ensemble cast for the film. And reports suggest that many actors from the Marathi industry can be signed on for the project.
