Chhapaak actor Vikrant Massey has been garnering a lot of love for his latest release, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare. And now according to a few reports, the actor is all set to headline Santosh Sivan’s upcoming film, Maanagaram.

The reports suggest that the actor will play the lead role in the remake of Tamil action-thriller Maanagaram. The film, Maanagaram was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The Hindi remake will be helmed by Santosh Sivan and will also feature Sanjay Mishra in a pivotal role.

The film is expected to go on floors in January next year. It has also been reported that the major parts of the movies will be shot during the night time.

The producer Shibu Thameens confirmed to an entertainment portal that the Hindi version of the Tamil hit will be comparatively more detailed than the original movie. The producer also went on to reveal that Vikrant Massey will be playing the role of an angry young man which is completely different from anything the actor has done so far.

Vikrant Massey will be next seen in Ginny Weds Sunny alongside Yami Gautam. The film is all set to premiere on Netflix on October 9.
