Climate change is the need of the hour and major organisations like TED and Future Stewards plan to address it on a global level. They are hosting a global countdown event that aims to encourage millions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by half, by the time we reach 2030. It is a world-wide initiative that involves collaboration with over 50 public figures from diverse sectors. The campaign involves major celebrities and stakeholders and our beloved content creator Prajakta Koli a.k.a MostlySane is a part of it too! Here’s everything you need to know about the Countdown, a world-wide initiative to battle climate crisis and Prajakta’s experience.

Here’s what the ‘Countdown‘ is about…

The Countdown is a global initiative that will launch on the 10th of October. It is a free five-hour virtual conference and it includes some of the most talented celebrities and speakers. This free event features A-listers like Jane Fonda, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and many more. The event is set to have multiple segments and some of the biggest talks and performances. The main agenda behind this mammoth collaboration is to discuss ideas and practical solutions with regards to the climate crisis. It makes us so happy to know that one of India’s fave content creators, Prajakta Koli, is also a part of this esteemed event. We couldn’t be more proud of the kind of quality work that she is doing.

Here’s what Prajakta has to say about her experience,

We can inspire others through action because there is no hope without action. I am delighted to partner with Countdown to inspire every company and country and engage citizens in actions that decouple carbon from our economy and way of life in this decade. We need to fight to ensure this planet survives and flourishes for future generations, which requires intergenerational collaboration. The Countdown is about coming together across ages and sectors to help the planet to heal and ensure we preserve the earth better than we have been doing so far.

We are so happy to see her represent herself and the country on such a massive global stage! We can’t wait to watch the Countdown event that will be streamed live on TED’s YouTube channel. It is through thought-provoking discussions like these, that we will be able to make a change we desire. Are you excited to watch MostlySane at the Countdown? Tell us in comments below!
