At the beginning of the pandemic, the universal uniform consisted of baggy and slouchy clothes with fashion majorly on the sidelines. But that wasn’t for too long. The F factor was quick to mould à la the needs and demands of the new reality. And since video calls were where the world had shifted to, loungewear made a subtle entry and became the trending style of the year. Even as lockdowns worldwide eased down, people from the glamorous world stepped out in comfortable and relaxed clothing with stylish finishing touches. Denim—jackets, dresses or eccentric jean styles became that much more popular, thanks to their versatility and easy-going trait. Speaking of jeans, we saw actress Bhumi Pednekar sport the ’70s jean trend for her recent outing—jorts. You may be unfamiliar with the term but you’ll recognise the style once you see it and most definitely love it!
The actress stepped out for a quick trip to the salon in wardrobe basics—a sweetheart-neck, plain black crop-top layered with an anti-fit, white shirt and jorts—jean shorts! The light-washed pair of denim shorts with frayed hemlines not only make for a hella fashionable moment but they’re versatile and comfortable at the same time. This in-between weather where it’s hotter than the sun but also pleasant on some days calls for items like jorts. Breathable but warm at the same. The way Bhumi styled it is effortless and quite easy to recreate.
The actor elevated her look with her choice of accessories; an example of how fashion-forward personalities are raising the ante of loungewear. Gold hoops, blue-tinted, slim cat-eye sunglasses with gold rims along with a checkered facemask and Louis Vuitton‘s Neverfull tote bag rounded off her look. As for her footwear, Bhumi opted for black, strappy slip-ons decorated with gold studs.
While posing for the paps, Bhumi took her mask down from a safe distance and flaunted her bare skin. She passed on any makeup and left her locks open in soft waves.
