Bandish Bandits Fame Ritwik Bhowmik To Reportedly Replace Aamir Khan's Son Junaid In The Hindi Remake Of Ishq

The OTT platforms have given us several new talents recently. One such talent to have gotten the much-needed recognition is Ritwik Bhowmik. The young lead of the Amazon Prime’s Bandish Bandit has been lauded for his impeccable performance in the web series.

Now according to a report by Times of India, Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan was to mark his debut with the remake of Malayalam film, Ishq. Though there has been no official confirmation, rumours were doing round that Neeraj Pandey would produce it and it would be helmed by Bajatey Raho director, Shashant Shah. However, the latest report suggests that Neeraj is quite impressed with Ritwik’s performance and is thinking of casting him for the lead role in Ishq in place of Junaid.

The filmmaker has not confirmed anything officially yet. The report quoted a source close to the development as saying, “The film may not be an exact replica of the Malayalam one. However, all those details are being still worked out which includes the modalities.
