This pandemic has not been kind to many and we’ve been starved of celebrity inspiration for much too long. While we wanted our beloved queens to be safe we thoroughly missed their regular sightings. You could say it’s taken about a month for Bollywood to come to this capacity. It still has a long while to go before it can fully resume to it’s previous glory. It looks like B-town is coming back to life and not at a slow pace anymore. To prove this very statement let’s take a look at the last 7 days filled with 22 of the most varied looks in fashion. It spans from loungewear to Indianwear to athleisure and then right back to basics.
Sara Ali Khan steps out in a lovely all-white Chikankari salwar suit that she wears with an antique silver cuff, tan carry-all and embellished Mojris from Fizzy Goblet. Isn’t she serving us a wonderful casual desi number.
Shraddha Kapoor steps out in floral Anarkali from Drzya by Ridhi Suri. The set features a beautiful organza dupatta that the celebrity pairs with Aprajita Toor Kolhapur wedges. She accessorises her look with an oversized Batua bag that is giving us all kinds of vintage feels.
Kiara Advani’s off-duty celebrity style is totally up my alley, especially this all-black look. This is why I reiterate that basics go a long way. She wears a black tee with a plunging V-neck and black wide-leg jeans. She accessorises her look with nude strappy sandals and her favourite Christian Dior tote. What’s not to love?
Malaika Arora is just such a yummy mummy with a fantastic sense of personal style. She wears a poppy orange pantsuit with flared pants and black bustier. She accessorises her look with orange pointy pumps and a statement gold necklace. Doesn’t she make celebrity fashion look effortless?
Totally and 100% digging Huma Qureshi’s celebrity airport style. She wears the cutest co-ordset with blue and orange colours. It features shorts and a sweatshirt. She accessorises with small, gold hoops and a pair or blue sneakers.
Nimrat Kaur looks divine in a pure georgette Benarsi saree that her mother gave to her. She accessorises her royal blue look earrings from Anmol Jewellers and a blue ring from Amrapali. To complete her look she adds a quilted gold clutch.
Alaya F puts her own spin on celebrity loungewear with this fun look. She wears trackie bottoms from Tommy Hilfiger with a black gunjee with oversized armholes and a black bustier. She accessorises her look with a black YSL sling bag and white Gucci sneakers. Doesn’t she look adorbs?
Kriti Sanon wears a mesh top with a white printed bustier underneath that she pairs with black and white mini-skirt. The only thing I truly like about this look is the blue and green longline jacket that would have looked great with a black tee and a pair of jeans, no?
Radhika Madan wers and oversized black sweatshirt with shorts to the airport. While I love her outfit by itself, I think she could have chosen to go down the less is more route. Alternatively, she could have chosen accessorises that would suit this look better. I cannot move past the sunglasses and that facemask together or those black knit sneakers. For a look like this, a classic white sneaker and all-black sunglasses would have added the right amount of celebrity feels to this outfit. She finishes out her look with the white Gucci print belt bag.
Yami Gautam’s picnic table checkered jumpsuit is another look I adore. The jumpsuit features off-shouler ruffle detailing and the star accessorises her look with black, platform chappals. I wish she would have added a black waist belt that would have upped the celebrity factor of this look. She accessorises with the Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM tote to complete her look.
Nushrat Bharuch steps out in blue jeans with floral embroidery, this pair creates major nostalgia for me because I had one just like it. She pairs her look with a white tee and layers with a pastel colour-blocked bomber jacket. To accessorise her look she wears big brown sunglasses, pink New Balance sneakers and carries a black tote bag.
Mithila Palkar’s look is definitely a celebrity look I can get on board with asap. She wears a knee-length floral skirt with a slit and a matching ribbed, sphagetti strap crop-top. The star layers her look with a crisp white shirt and styles the looks with a yellow sling bag, a gold, Misho necklace and Adidas originals sneakers.
Personally, I have really been loving Ileana D’Cruz’s off-duty celebrity style. She’s a good example of how to take a basic outfit from day-to night-effortlessly. For her first look she wear’s a cropped, tie-dye jacket with a bralette and drawstring waist tracksuit pants. She accessorises her look with white, chunky sneakers, a black sling bag and round frame sunnies. For her second look she wears a high-low white shirt with black jeans that she rolls up from the bottom. Again, she opts for white sneakers, a black sling and her round frame sunnies.
Rakul Preet takes casual celebrity fashion a notch higher as she wears high-wasisted mom jeans on two different occasions. She presents us with one lighter blue pair that she pairs with a 3/4th sleeve red crop top with a ruched knot-front detail. The star accessorises her look with black boots and a black Dior Angeles tote bag. For look two she opts for a basic sccop-neck black tee that she styles with white sneakers for a flawless airport-friendly look.
Nora Fatehi is seen wearing two denim looks this week, one is a skinny pair and the other is a straight cut. For look number one she wears a sheer, floral embellished top with hoops and black pointy pumps. And for look number two she wear a blue satin shirt with tiny print, a black belt and Gucci white Peyton slippers. But the dame finishes off both looks with the Gucci Sylvie leather mini chain bag that costs approx 2 lakh rupees.
Tara Sutaria looks ever bit like the celebrity she is with her dark sunglasses, effortless top-knot and her blue mom jeans. She’s been wearing these jeans a lot lately and honestly I think she looks fab in them. After that, she pairs her look with a black, sleeveless polo neck top. The actress accessorises her look with black, patent leather moccasins, a Gucci belt and a Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM tote.
