South actress Malavika Mohanan is all set to pair opposite Shahid Kapoor in filmmakers Raj and DK‘s upcoming web series on Amazon Prime. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the actress is expected to kick start the shoot for the show from March-end or early April. Malavika who is known for films like Petta and Beyond The Clouds will next be seen in Tamil-thriller Master alongside Vijay.
The yet to be titled show is touted to be a quirky action thriller. Raj and DK are currently wrapping up the post-production of Manoj Bajpayee starrer Family Man 2, the sequel Amazon Prime Videos’s Family Man that was released in 2019.
Shahid Kapoor has signed 60 crores multi-project deal with Amazon and Raj and DK’s web series is one of them. Meanwhile, the Kabir Singh actor is currently shooting for his upcoming sports drama, Jersey, a remake of a Telugu film of the same name. Helmed by Gowtam Tinnauri, Jersey will also see Mrunal Thakur, Pankaj Kapoor and Sharad Kelkar among others. Once he wraps up the shooting of Jersey, he will kick start work on the web series.
