Harshvardhan Rane and Sanjeeda Shaikh were last seen together in Bejoy Nambiar‘s recent release, Taish. Now, the two are collaborating yet again in filmmaker Kushan Nandy‘s next titled, Kun Faya Kun. The makers took to their social media to make the announcement of the thriller. The title looks like it is borrowed from one of the songs from Imtiaz Ali‘s Rockstar starring Ranbir Kapoor and created by A.R. Rahman.

Filmmaker Kushan Nandy, who earlier helmed Babumoshai Bandookbaaz starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, has announced the title of his next project with an interesting and fun video featuring the movie’s lead cast Harshvardhan Rane and Sanjeeda Shaikh. The shooting of the film kick-started today. The cast revealed that the film is not a musical one as suggested by the title, rather it’s a thriller. Harshvardhan further explained what the title means: “Be..and it is!“, still leaving the audience curious, wanting for more.

According to a report by MidDay, Kushan Nandy, speaking about the title of the film said, “Since the title of the film is like a mystery in itself pulling the audiences in, we thought it would be perfect to give them a sneak peek into what to expect from the film by telling them a bit, and holding up a bit. The announcement video also gives out the amazing onscreen camaraderie that Harshvardhan and Sanjeeda share, and we hope we have been able to pique the audience’s interest with it.”

Kun Faya Kun is backed by Naeem A. Siddiqui from Touchwood Multimedia Creations.
