Dia Mirza has been a social activist for a long time now. She also openly discusses the immediate change in how we consume fashion. And actively lends her voice to sustainability and sustainable brands in fashion. We constantly see her using hashtags like #FabricsThatBreathe or #BeatPlasticPollution. It is a known fact that fast fashion clothes contain tiny particles of plastic that trickle down into our water bodies polluting our eco-system. She reminds us that the need of the hour is to shop smart, support small scale businesses and artisans. And hence, a reminder to support local brands that deserve a forever home.

It’s evident that Dia Mirza makes incredibly tasteful sartorial choices. One can never find a flaw in any of the gorgeous sarees she wears or even her modern clothes. The actress always manages to look ever so elegant and stylish. Scroll on to see two of her latest looks that are definitely worth a double-take.

Let’s take a closer look at Dia Mirza’s simplistic take on vocal for local fashion:

For Kareena Kapoor Khan‘s show, What Women Want, Dia Mirza wears a red, bohemian style dress from Verb by Pallavi Singhee. The printed, colourful maxi dress features a knot-front detail along with a cut out at the waist. The strappy dress also has a criss-cross detail on the back along with a faux belt on the dress. The tiered dress has a sweeping ruffle detail on the hemline that adds to the flowly, cascading effect. She accessorises her look with gold stud earrings from Vinage Vintage and a pair of gold, strappy stiletto heels. For her makeup, she keeps it fuss-free with bold brows, kohl-lined eyes and a muted lip. For her hair, she creates side twists that get pulled into a half-up and hald-down vibe. Love the hair and makeup for this look as it would work wonderfully for that beachside date too.

Dia Mirza wears a gorgeous citrine linen Zari saree with a handwoven silver thread grid from Anavila. She pairs it with a sleeveless blouse that matches the selvedge on the saree. She keeps it simple with silver jhumkis and a bangles to match the silver threadwork on the saree. Doesn’t she look absolutely radiant in this bright and sunny colour. For her makeup, she opts for dewy fresh skin, kohl-lined eyes and a matching cheek and lip stain. As for her hair, she pulls it to the side and finishes with a fishtail braid. I really think this is such a fantastic look to show up in for your BFF’s wedding, no?
