The idea of getting the big Khans together in Bollywood has always been a wish many have fostered over the years. Now, seems like it’s going to come true with Aamir Khan‘s upcoming film, Laal Singh Chadha. Yes, the film is all set to see King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo appearance, and what’s super exciting is that he will be seen as the iconic, Raj from Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge!

Aamir and SRK were seen together on screen in Ashutosh Gowariker‘s 1993 debut film, Pehla Nasha. After all these years, they are set to share screen space in Laal Singh Chadha, the official Hindi remake of Tom Hank’s 1994 classic, Forrest Gump. According to a Mumbai Mirror report, SRK has already shot for his portion in Delhi before he left to Dubai for the IPL tournament. The sequence was reportedly directed by Aamir himself and a source tells the publication that SRK’s portion is going to be set in the mid-90’s and is very pivotal to the plot.

Given the screenplay of the film chronicles the protagonist’s journey over 5 decades, a source close to the publication revealed that they are set to weave important moments from each decade into the story. SRK’s sequence is going to represent the 90’s, and Laal Singh Chadha ends up on the sets of DDLJ where they have a conversation about his personal experiences and more. The source also adds that they will be using prosthetics and VFX on SRK for his look from 1995.

Not just SRK, the report states that Aamir is also keen on getting Salman Khan on board the project. The source states that they are yet to decide which character Salman will essay, but it’ll most probably be Prem from his films like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Hum Saath Saath Hain, among others. He really changed the game from action to romance in the 90’s and the film will probably tap on that.

The three Khan’s together in a film? Now that’s a first and oh-so-exciting! I sure can’t wait for the film now. The movie also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Vijay Sethupathi among others. It is being directed by Advait Chandan and is set for a Christmas 2021 release.
