Janhvi Kapoor is reportedly all set to star in the remake of the Malayalam film, Helen. Helmed by Mathukutty Xavier, the film which released in 2019 starred Anna Ben in the lead role. The film followed a part-time restaurant employee who gets locked up in the freezer room. According to a few reports, the rights of the film has been bought by actress’s father and producer Boney Kapoor. The film will be co-produced by Zee Studios and will go on floors in early 2021. The report further mentioned that the survival thriller is also being remade in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

The film will be shot in Lucknow and in some parts of Uttar Pradesh for two to three months.

For the unversed, Janhvi Kapoor made her Bollywood debut with Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak (2018) alongside Ishaan Khattar. She then went on to appear in Zoya Akhtar’s short film in Ghost Stories (2019). Janhvi was last seen in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl where she portrayed the former Air Force pilot. Meanwhile, Janhvi is awaiting the release of Dharma Productions’ Dostana 2 and Roohi Afzana.
