Wedding season is around the corner and we’re faced with what to wear. Still trying to wrap my head around the fact that we’re already, somehow; in December. And once we’re in the month of December panic sets in. Do we opt for heavier lehengas or Anarkalis but then how to dance in that gorgeous creation all night long? I mean you want to be fuss-free at your bestie’s wedding just like Athiya Shetty. And, let’s face it; a part of us is happy with the intimate, pandemic wedding because we can opt for those lightweight clothes we’ve all secretly been dying to wear.

But if you’re still struggling to figure out what to wear to a pandemic wedding because comfort is paramount now. Then worry not, you’ll want to scroll on to see how Athiya Shetty nails the pandemic-guest vibe perfectly.

Let’s take a closer look at Athiya Shetty’s white saree:

The customary norm is to show up to Indian weddings wearing the brightest colours. And if you’re like me and prefer the company of subtle or darker colours then you’ve lucked out. Ami Patel, the master magician gives Athiya Shetty a pearl white, sparkly pre-drape saree from Tarun Tahiliani. Firstly, pre-stitched sarees are the best invention Indian’s could have come up with. I’m one of those clumsy, trips on pleats kind and the whole saree comes open sorts. And, now I don’t have to worry about painstakingly getting my saree pleated by the neighbour or having to rush to a salon an hour before. Aren’t you simply grateful for this elegant and smart creation? Plus, can you imagine how easy it will be to walk and dance in?

What I love about her look though is that gorgeous beaded blouse with a neckline that doesn’t require you to wear decadent jewellery. The feather detailing on the sleeve adds a fun playful twist to the saree. Athiya Shetty wears her saree with earrings from Jadau Jewellery by Falguni Mehta that work in tandem with her blouse, no? Two cuffs and a statement ring finish out her tasteful accessorises.

Makeup and hair artist Loveleen Ramchandani gives Athiya Shetty a glowy, natural finish makeup look. Strong brows, flushed cheeks and highlighter from the crux of her glam. A muted pink lip to keep in the tone of the pearly white saree. A strong lip would have been a major turn off here so kudos to her for nailing this look. I love the slightly messy low bun as well. Overall the look is super elegant and easy to achieve, right?
