The shoot of Jug Jugg Jeeyo was brought to halt on Friday after lead actor Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor and filmmaker Raj Mehta tested positive for Covid-19. The entire unit in Chandigarh had to go through screening on Thursday morning after a crew member developed symptoms of the virus.

According to a report by MidDay, a source was quoted as saying— “The hotel was immediately disinfected, and Varun, Raj and Neetuji were put in isolation in their respective rooms. Their symptoms are mild so far, and are being monitored by doctors.”

Anil Kapoor and Kiara Advani, who also star in the dramedy, tested negative for the virus. However, they will be required to go through another screening in a few days. Reports suggest that the actors will jet back to Mumbai after they complete the necessary quarantine in Chandigarh.

Meanwhile, Maniesh Paul, who is also a part of the cast returned to Mumbai two days ago. The actor has developed symptoms. The publication quoted a source as saying—”The actor has fever and is experiencing loss of smell. He will practise home-quarantine after running a test“. While the makers had initially chalked out a start-to-finish schedule plan in Chandigarh, the shoot has been brought to halt for three weeks due to the recent development.
