After spending months at home owing to the COVID-19 lockdown, Varun Dhawan and the cast of Jugg Jugg Jeeyo kickstarted shoot for the film last month in Chandigarh. Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor and Prajakta Koli were sure excited to get back to work and on sets, but unfortunately, a few integral cast members tested positive for COVID-19 recently.

Varun Dhawan and Neetu Kapoor reportedly tested positive for the virus. Anil Kapoor tweeted that he had tested negative. Varun took to his Instagram today that confirm the news and said that though the production was very careful with respect to the precautions and guidelines, COVID-19 still caught on to them. He adds that he could have also been a little careful personally and shares that he is overwhelmed by all the support, love and good wishes he has been receiving. Varun first posted a picture of a group call with his close friends, but later took it down and put up just a picture of himself.

We wish Varun and the others in the Jugg Jugg Jeeyo team a speedy recovery.

Coming to his other films, Varun was busy promoting his upcoming film Coolie No. 1 with Sara Ali Khan before he left to the shoot of Jugg Jugg Jeeyo. The film, directed by his father David Dhawan, will release on Amazon Prime Video on December 25th.
